AFC Leopards Begin Search for New Head Coach as Patrick Aussems Departs

FKF Premier League club AFC Leopards has initiated the process of finding a new head coach following the departure of Belgian coach Patrick Aussems.

In an official statement released on Thursday, the club assured fans that they are actively scouting the market for a suitable replacement and will provide updates as the search progresses.

Aussems, who had been with the team for two years, announced earlier this week that he will not be renewing his contract with the former league champions due to personal and private reasons. In response, AFC Leopards expressed gratitude for his significant contributions to the club and respected his decision to depart.

Under Aussems’ guidance, Ingwe secured a commendable seventh-place finish in the recently concluded season and reached the semi-finals of the FKF Cup, where they were defeated by eventual champions Kakamega Homeboyz.

With the new season fast approaching and their first match scheduled against Talanta FC on August 27, AFC Leopards now face the time-sensitive task of appointing a new head coach to lead the team into the 2023/24 campaign.
