AK President Tuwei Retains CAA Vice Presidency in Re-Election

The President of Athletics Kenya Jackson Tuwei, has been re-elected for a second term as the First Vice President of the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) for the period 2023-2027.

The CAA Congress took place in Lusaka, Zambia and was attended by World Athletics President Sebastian Coe.

Meanwhile, Hamad Kalkaba of Cameroon was also re-elected as the President of CAA and Lamine Fenty of Senegal was elected as the Director General of CAA.

The youth development and athletics director, Barbaba Korir, congratulated Tuwei on his re-election, noting that it recognizes his leadership abilities and reinforces Kenya’s position as a significant athletics figure in the region.
