APS Bomet Secures Promotion Back to National Super League (NSL)
As the league approaches its conclusion this weekend after nine months of thrilling encounters, the NSL, known as the toughest league in the country, welcomes back one of its former contenders.
APS Bomet, hailing from Division One Zone B, emerged as the new champions, securing a return to the second tier after two years in hiatus.
Their promotion was sealed on Sunday after a hard-fought match against Green Commandos held at Kakamega High School grounds, which ended in a 1-0 victory for Bomet.
Bomet faced relegation last year to Division One after opting out of participation in the FKF Sanctioned leagues at the start of the 2022-2023 season.
Head coach Alfred Chole expressed his delight in guiding the club back to the second tier, highlighting the team’s dedication and hard work.
The team will play their final match against MOFA at Bomet IAAF Stadium on Sunday, marking the end of the 2023-2024 Division One season.
