Athletics Kenya Confirms National Trials for World Athletics Relays
Athletics Kenya has officially announced that the national trials for this year’s World Athletics Relays will take place on April 6 at Nyayo National Stadium.
The trials, aimed at selecting relay teams for the global competition scheduled for May 4th and 5th in Nassau, Bahamas, will include events for the 4x100m and 4x400m men and women, as well as the 4x400m mixed relay. Invited teams from other countries will also compete in these events.
Participation in the trials will be by invitation only, with selection criteria based on the 2024 World Athletics Top list and adherence to all antidoping requirements, as stated in the communication from Athletics Kenya.
Additionally, the African Senior Championships are scheduled to take place from June 19-23 in Cameroon. Consequently, the fourth AK Track and Field weekend meeting, originally planned for April 12 and 13, has been rescheduled to a later date, with the venue yet to be announced.
