Chelsea Women have secured their status as WSL champions for the fourth consecutive season after a convincing 3-0 triumph against relegated Reading on Saturday.

The Blues came close to sealing the title last week with a 2-0 win over Arsenal. However, second-placed Manchester United snatched a late winner in the Manchester derby against City, prolonging the title race until the final day.

Chelsea wasted no time in asserting their dominance in the game against Reading, as first-half goals from Sam Kerr and Guro Reiten put Emma Hayes’ side in full control.

The Blues sealed a comprehensive victory with a third goal from Australian forward Sam Kerr in the closing stages, further solidifying their position at the top of the table and adding another trophy to their impressive collection.

This WSL title marks the sixth triumph for Chelsea under the guidance of Emma Hayes, and their fourth consecutive championship win. Remarkably, the Blues have completed a domestic double in three of those four seasons.

Finishing the campaign with an outstanding record, Chelsea secured 19 wins out of 22 games, with one draw and only two defeats.

Their relentless form propelled them two points ahead of Manchester United, who claimed a 1-0 victory over Liverpool in their final fixture thanks to a second-half goal from Lucia Garcia.

Chelsea’s triumph also avenges their narrow victory over Manchester United in the FA Cup final earlier this month, which took place in front of a record-breaking crowd.

The match against Reading held emotional significance for two Chelsea icons, as it marked the last game for captain Magdalena Eriksson and Pernille Harder in the club’s colors. Their contributions to Chelsea’s success over the years will forever be remembered.

Chelsea Women’s remarkable achievement in securing their fourth consecutive WSL title showcases their relentless determination, exceptional talent, and the outstanding leadership of Emma Hayes.

The team’s consistent dominance in domestic competitions cements their status as one of the most formidable forces in women’s football.
