Tusker FC, amid a turbulent start to their FKF Premier League season, secured only their third victory by defeating Sofapaka FC 1-0, providing a much-needed relief for coach Robert Matano.
James Kibande’s second-half strike sealed the win for the Brewers, propelling them to 12th place in the league standings. Meanwhile, Sofapaka remained at the bottom after suffering their sixth defeat in eight games.
Over at the Kasarani Annex, Gor Mahia FC missed an opportunity to exert pressure on Posta Rangers by settling for a goalless draw at home against Bidco United.
Posta Rangers maintained their top spot with 19 points, following their 2-0 victory over Bandari FC. The hosts capitalized on an own goal from Andrew Juma after Bernard Ondiek had initially put them ahead.
This outcome solidified Posta Rangers’ remarkable start to the campaign, having won six of their first eight matches.
Elsewhere, Muranga Seal secured a 1-1 draw away at Muhoroni, while the match between Kenya Police and FC Talanta also concluded in a one-all stalemate.
