Coco Gauff advances to the French Open fourth round, overcoming Dayana Yastremska’s challenge in a straight-sets victory.

The American, who was last year’s runner-up and is currently the third seed, showcased her resilience by winning 6-2, 6-4.

Despite Yastremska’s efforts to turn the tide in the second set, Gauff maintained her lead and fended off additional break points to clinch the match. Following her US Open win, Gauff is now eyeing her second Grand Slam title.

Reflecting on her growth, the 20-year-old Gauff shared her long-term vision for her career and her one-match-at-a-time approach, which she adopted after feeling nervous during the Australian Open.

Next, Gauff is set to compete against Elisabetta Cocciaretto, who has made her first fourth-round appearance in a major after defeating Liudmila Samsonova. Cocciaretto, the youngest Italian to reach this stage at Roland Garros since 2001, has already ousted two seeded players, including Beatriz Haddad Maia.

Olga Danilovic, another qualifier, has also progressed to the fourth round following a hard-fought victory over Donna Vekic, marking a significant milestone in her career.

Both Cocciaretto and Danilovic have expressed their heartfelt reactions to their victories, emphasizing the emotional aspect of their journey and the importance of playing with passion. As the tournament continues, these players’ stories add to the excitement and drama of the competition.
