The Dallas Mavericks, missing Luka Doncic due to the birth of his daughter, faced a 108-94 loss at home to the Memphis Grizzlies, with Desmond Bane leading the way with 30 points.

Reigning NBA Most Valuable Player Joel Embiid was absent as the Philadelphia 76ers suffered a 125-119 defeat against the Boston Celtics. Jayson Tatum was ejected in the third quarter for a second technical foul.

In Friday’s additional games, the New York Knicks secured a 119-106 victory over the Toronto Raptors, while the San Antonio Spurs continued their struggle with a 14th consecutive defeat, losing 121-106 to the New Orleans Pelicans.
