Boniface Nyamuhnyamuh, the head coach of Vihiga Queens, expresses confidence ahead of their upcoming encounter against Zetech Sparks in the Kenyan Women’s Premier League. The match is scheduled for Saturday at Mumias Sports Complex in Kakamega County.

The four-time Premier League champions widened their lead at the top of the league standings following a 2-0 walkover against Trans Nzoia Falcons at Ndura Sports Complex in Kitale. This victory occurred after their opponents failed to appear for the fixture, granting Vihiga Queens a four-point advantage.

Nyamuhnyamuh conveys his team’s preparedness, having undergone intense training, and assures their readiness to take on the sixth-placed Zetech Sparks. “We have trained rigorously, and I’m confident my team will secure the three crucial points. I am grateful that we have a fully fit squad without any injuries. I have communicated our objectives to the players, and they are focused on achieving them come Saturday.”

Acknowledging Zetech Sparks as formidable opponents, Nyamuhnyamuh emphasizes the need to approach the match with seriousness. “Our opponents, Zetech, are a highly competitive side. They present a different challenge compared to the previous season where we secured victories home and away. We won’t underestimate their capabilities.”

Additionally, other fixtures on Saturday will witness Soccer Assassins facing Nakuru City Queens at Mumboha Grounds in Vihiga County, while Kenya Police Bullets will host Kibera Soccer Ladies at Police Sacco Stadium in Nairobi. New entrants Bungoma Queens are set to entertain Bunyore Starlets at Sudi Stadium in Bungoma.
