Wafalme Stars, the national men’s volleyball team, continued their flawless streak at the African Games with a resounding victory over hosts Ghana in a commanding display of skill and determination.
The triumph, secured in straight sets at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Borteyman Sports Complex in Accra, echoed their earlier dominance over Chad, reaffirming their intent to make a mark on their return to the African Games arena.
Under the guidance of captain Brian Melly, Wafalme Stars silenced the home crowd with a captivating 25-21 win in the first set, showcasing their prowess on the court. Despite Ghana’s attempts to rally in the second set, the Kenyan team’s brilliance prevailed, clinching another 25-21 victory.
As the match progressed, it became evident that Ghana’s resolve was waning, allowing Wafalme Stars to assert their dominance further with a convincing 25-14 win in the third set.
