Kenya Basketball Federation season finally reaches its peak with finalists to face off in a potentially explosive showdown starting this weekend.

The defending champions will host the Dockers in game one of the best of five Premier League playoff finals series set to tip-off tomorrow from 4pm at Nyayo Gymnasium.

Men’s reigning champions Ulinzi Warriors will battle it against KPA with current women title holders Equity Hawks facing KPA women’s side in the finals.

Addressing Standard Sports, Equity head coach David Maina said they are ready and calm as their target is to capitalize on their home advantage at Nyayo in game one and two that they will host.

“So far so good. We have only lost 1 game in the regular season and I expect the players to push for the final target.”

“Our target is to win the two games in Nairobi. Being a final, it will not be easy but we will go all out. The team is ready for the finals and hopefully, they will put their best foot forward,” said Maina.

Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) Premier League final winners will secure tickets to represent the country in the 2022 regional and continental championship.

En route to the finals, defending champions Ulinzi posted dominant performances in their respective semifinal last weekend against Strathmore University blades beating them 3-0 (78-54; 79-66; 94-86) in overtime to reach the 2021-2022 Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) Men’s Premier League playoff finals while Equity Hawks crushed Zetech University 63-56 in a tightly battled semifinal match completing a 3-0 (50-45; 66-58; 66-53) sweep over the University side
