In the upcoming fourth round of the Kenya Cup, eight-time champions KCB rugby team is poised for a clash against Mwamba RFC at the RFUEA grounds.

Having secured victories in all three matches played so far in the 2023/2024 season, KCB sits in second place on the table, trailing leaders Kabras Sugar.

Head coach Curtis Olago expressed the team’s commitment to maintaining their positive momentum, emphasizing their readiness to face Mwamba. Despite a quiet January transfer window, with only the addition of Horus Alela from Shamas Rugby, who was subsequently loaned to Kenyatta University’s Blak Blad, Olago highlighted the team’s solid structure and depth in both the Kenya Cup and ESS sides.

As the team gears up for the clash, Olago called upon supporters to turn out in large numbers and rally behind the team.

Notably, KCB will be without the services of Vincent Onyala, Samuel Asati, and Festus Shiasi, who have been called up to represent Shujaa in the Challenger series set to kick off in Dubai on Friday. Olago remains optimistic about the team’s prospects and aims for the title at the end of the season.
