Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana will miss Cameroon’s opening Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) clash with Guinea on Monday
The 27-year-old had initially delayed joining his national side to make himself available for United’s FA Cup third-round tie with Wigan.
However, it has been revealed that Onana will be part of the Red Devils’ team for the league match against Tottenham on Sunday.
As a result, Onana will also miss Cameroon’s pre-AFCON training camp but is expected to be available for selection in subsequent matches, including the encounter against tournament holders Senegal.
In Onana’s absence, Altay Bayindir is set to make his debut as the goalkeeper for Cameroon.
