Kibet, the star player who had led St Anthony to the final with a decisive goal against Shanderema, once again rose to the occasion and guided the Solidarity Boys to victory. As the second half progressed, Kibet’s prowess shone once more, culminating in a remarkable second goal. Collecting the ball from midfield, he unleashed a powerful strike from outside the box, sealing the victory for St Anthony.
Dagoretti struggled to regain control of the game, and their fate was sealed as Kibet’s late heroics secured a conclusive 2-0 win for the Solidarity Boys. Prior to this, Kelly Madada’s exceptional performance ignited Shanderema’s triumph over Agoro Sare, earning them a spot in the East African Championships.

Despite missing their captain Mark Shaban in the national championships, Shanderema’s remarkable journey continues with hopes of welcoming back their influential leader in the upcoming regional championships.
Kenya will be represented by three teams in the forthcoming regional championships, set to take place in Huye, Rwanda later this month.
