Gilbert Andugu, the Secretary General of AFC Leopards, is optimistic about the team’s chances of triumphing in their final games to conclude the 2023/24 FKF Premier League season on a positive note.
Currently in sixth place with 47 points, just one point shy of Bandari FC in fourth, Ingwe is gearing up for their upcoming match against Shabana FC on June 15, 2024.
“We have three matches left in the league, starting with Shabana FC,” Andugu remarked. “The location of the match is yet to be determined, but we expect it to be a secure venue for the safety of our supporters and players, given the large fan bases of both teams.”
Andugu also called on the Leopards’ supporters to come out in force for the Shabana FC game, as the league approaches its climax.
“I want to encourage our fans to remain peaceful, behave respectfully, enjoy the game, and then safely return home,” Andugu emphasized.
Following the Shabana FC game, AFC Leopards will play host to FKF Cup finalists KCB, before their last match of the season against Ulinzi Stars on June 23, 2024.
“The match against KCB is another important fixture, and as hosts, we’re considering venues in Nairobi to accommodate a midweek game,” Andugu explained. “Dandora Stadium is a potential choice due to its accessibility for our fans, especially since it’s a weekday match and we want to ensure our supporters can attend.”
