In the Caf Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2024 qualifiers, the Copper Queens of Zambia showcased their dominance with a commanding 6-0 victory over Angola in the second and final round.

Lushomo Mweemba’s goal in the 40th minute opened the floodgates, followed by a remarkable hat trick from Barbara Banda, and additional goals from Ireene Lungu and Rachel Kundananji. The Zambians look poised for a comfortable return leg in Zambia.

Meanwhile, in Nairobi, Harambee Starlets faced a frustrating 1-1 draw against Botswana, with Keitunetse Dithede giving the visitors the lead in the 36th minute.

Marjoline Nekesa equalized with a penalty in the 48th minute, setting the stage for a crucial second leg in Botswana on December 5, 2023.

Looking ahead, Guinea hosts Mali, Nigeria takes on Cape Verde, and Senegal clashes with Egypt in anticipated high-scoring encounters.

South Africa, fresh from the 2023 World Cup, faces Burkina Faso away, Tanzania welcomes Togo, and Algeria squares off against Burundi. The action-packed qualifiers are intensifying as teams vie for a spot in the prestigious tournament.
