World Champion Argentina has confirmed their plans to play a friendly match against River Plate on Friday.
This will come after their game against Panama on Thursday, which marks their first game since winning the World Cup.
The match between Lionel Scaloni’s team and Martin Demichelis’ team will be held at the Argentine Football Association (AFA) ground, but unfortunately, it will be played behind closed doors.
The fixture was organized after an invitation to participate in River’s training and will serve as part of the national celebration for the world champions as they reunite on Argentine soil.
Local media has stated that Scaloni will play players who didn’t feature against Panama, while Demichelis will field players who will not line up against Universidad de Chile in a friendly on Saturday.
The Argentine national team is also scheduled to host Curacao on March 28th in the province of Santiago del Estero.
On March 27th, the team will travel to Paraguay to receive a tribute from the South American Football Confederation, CONMEBOL, for winning their country’s third World Cup in Qatar last year.
