Bournemouth Sign Kluivert From Roma
Bournemouth Football Club has completed the signing of Dutch winger Justin Kluivert from Serie A side AS Roma.
The Premier League club announced that Kluivert has joined on a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee, rumoured to be around £9.6 million ($12.21 million).
The 24-year-old, son of former Netherlands striker Patrick Kluivert, spent the previous season on loan at La Liga outfit Valencia, where he impressed with eight goals in 29 games.
Bournemouth’s chief executive, Neill Blake, expressed his delight at securing Kluivert’s services, highlighting the player’s ambition and the club’s shared vision.
Describing Kluivert as an exciting and versatile attacking player with a keen eye for goal, Blake praised his speed, directness, and technical ability.
Prior to his loan spell at Valencia, Kluivert had successful stints with Bundesliga side RB Leipzig and Ligue 1 team Nice. Bournemouth expects the forward to join the squad for pre-season training early next month, with plans to travel to Marbella for further preparations.
The team is scheduled to play friendlies against Maccabi Tel Aviv on July 16, Atalanta two weeks later, and Lorient on August 5.
