Stephen Curry’s last-second layup propelled the Golden State Warriors to a 141-139 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA’s newly introduced in-season tournament.

The winning layup, executed with 0.2 seconds remaining, faced a review due to teammate Draymond Green’s contact with the basket rim during the ball’s entry.

Curry led the Warriors’ scoring with 30 points, while Dario Saric contributed an additional 20 points off the bench.

Draymond Green highlighted the intense competition between the two teams, emphasizing the significance of the in-season tournament as a playoff game.

The tournament format consists of a group stage, with 30 teams divided into six groups of five. Each team will play against the others within their group, followed by an eight-team knockout stage.

The quarter-finals will feature the six group winners and two additional teams from each conference with the best records in second place.

Meanwhile, Nikola Jokic shone with 33 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists in the Denver Nuggets’ successful start to the tournament, securing a 125-114 victory against the Dallas Mavericks.

Luka Doncic of the Mavericks showcased a strong performance with 34 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists.
