Defending Champions KPA Men Secure Place in KBF Play-offs Final

Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) secures a spot in the Premier League play-offs final with a victory over Thunder. KPA’s 60-51 win in game four of the best-of-five semi-final series earns them a 3-1 overall victory.

They now await the outcome of the Thunder versus Ulinzi Warriors clash, with Ulinzi Warriors leading the series 2-1. The game played at the Makande gymnasium in Mombasa, showcased a closely contested battle, with both teams exchanging leads and tying multiple times.

KPA’s strong performance in the third quarter, capitalizing on Thunder’s defensive lapses, propelled them to victory.

Despite some late turnovers, KPA maintained their composure and utilized their offensive rebounds effectively.

Coach Anthony Ojukwu expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance, acknowledging their fatigue but remaining optimistic about their title defence.

Thunder’s Sadat Gaya recognized their efforts but expressed the need for improvements and potential recruitments for the upcoming season.

In the men’s Division One League, Snipers advance to the final after a commanding 61-46 victory over Strathmore University, completing a clean sweep of the series.
