The reigning champions Equity bank will be defending their title against KPA in the 2021-2022 Kenya Basketball Federation Women’s Premier League finals.
The Hawks crushed Zetech University 63-56 in a tightly battled semifinal match at Nyayo Gymnasium on Sunday completing a 3-0 sweep over the University side.
The bankers are heading into the finals with a 2-0 advantage securing game one and two 89-61 and 79-33 respectively.
The Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) Women’s Premier League heavyweight Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) also blew away Storms 83-41 at KPA Makande Gymnasium on Saturday last weekend completing a 3-0 sweep over the visitors in the semis. The Dockers will be eying to reclaim their lost title won in 2018 as Equity Hawks will be avenging their 71-35 finals defeat to the Dockers last year at the FIBA-Africa Zone V Club championships.
The Dockers and defending champion Equity Banks will be in action as the 2021-2022 Women’s premier league finals tip off end of this month.
ln the men’s category, defending champions Ulinzi warriors are through to the finals after defeating Strathmore blades in the semi finals.
The warriors finished a 3-0 sweep over Strathmore University Blades and are now on course to defend the title they won last season.
