The achievement comes after Lionel Scaloni’s side secured victories against Panama (2-0) and Curacao (7-0) in friendly matches.

France moved up to the second place, followed by Brazil in third after a loss to Morocco (2-1) in a friendly. Belgium, England, Netherlands, Croatia, Italy, Portugal, and Spain completed the top 10.

Meanwhile, Morocco remained the highest-ranked African team at No. 11, and the Central African Republic made the biggest leap, moving up 10 places to 122nd.

Japan ranked as the top Asian team at No. 20, while the 2022 World Cup host Qatar fell to No. 61 in the rankings.
