Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has issued a stern warning to Shabana FC regarding the behaviour of their fans during FKF Premier League matches.

In a letter addressed to the club’s chairman, Jared Nivaton, FKF Premier League manager, Mike Kamure, expressed concern over the misconduct of some Shabana FC fans during games.

Kamure highlighted instances where a section of Shabana’s fans threw objects and invaded the pitch during celebrations, actions that are not only dangerous but also disruptive to the game.

He emphasized that the behaviour of fans reflects not only on the club but also on the entire league, and it is the responsibility of the club’s management to ensure that fans conduct themselves in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner.

The FKF Premier League manager called on Shabana FC to take immediate action to address the issue and prevent any recurrence during their future matches. Kamure warned that any further instances of such behaviour would result in severe consequences for the club, including fines, playing matches behind closed doors, and point deductions.

While urging the club to address the matter promptly, Kamure acknowledged and appreciated Shabana FC’s passionate and enthusiastic fan base, which has brought an electrifying atmosphere to league matches and added excitement to the competition.

The warning serves as a reminder to clubs to uphold the principles of fair play and ensure the safety and security of fans and players during matches.
