Gaspo Women sign “Ghost” Mulee as coach
Gaspo Women’s Football Club has hired former Harambee Stars coach Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee in a bid to qualify for the third edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
Gaspo Women are currently joint leaders in the Kenyan Women’s Premier League (KWPL), and according to club chairman Edward Gathua, they have hired Mulee due to his vast coaching experience and determination to help the team improve.
In addition, teams that want to qualify for any CAF event must have at least a CAF B holder coach, which is why Gaspo Women are thinking ahead and preparing for the continental level.
Although financial constraints have prevented the club from offering Mulee an official contract, he will assist the team for the entire season while they look for ways to hire him on a permanent basis.
Mulee has previously coached Tusker FC, APR (Rwanda), and Yanga (Tanzania), and his first match with Gaspo Women will be against Zetech Sparks on Saturday. He will be taking over from goalkeeper trainer James Ombeng, who will resume his training duties.
