Golf: Tiger Woods Withdraws From Masters Due to Injury

Posted on

Five-time champion Tiger Woods has been forced to withdraw from the Masters golf tournament due to an injury just hours before the resumption of the third round on Sunday.

Woods, who was six over par after seven holes of his third round before heavy rain halted play on Saturday, found himself at the bottom of the leaderboard among the 54 remaining players.

Woods had previously fought hard to make it past the halfway stage, achieving a feat that equalled the records set by Gary Player and Fred Couples of 23 consecutive cuts made at the Masters.

However, his injury has unfortunately forced him to withdraw from the tournament, leaving fans disappointed and creating uncertainty about his future participation in golf competitions.

As one of the most successful golfers in history, Woods’ absence from the Masters will undoubtedly be felt, and his health and recovery will be closely monitored by fans and fellow golfers alike.

The tournament will continue without him, with the remaining players vying for the coveted green jacket and the title of Masters champion.
