Gor Mahia Extends Winning Streak with Late Victory Against Bandari FC

In the 85th minute, Austin Odhiambo secured a crucial goal, propelling Gor Mahia to secure maximum points against Bandari and establishing a commanding five-point lead at the summit of the FKF-PL.

Following this victory at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, Gor Mahia now leads the league standings with 34 points, maintaining a five-point advantage over second-placed Posta Rangers after completing 16 rounds of matches.

Meanwhile, Wycliffe Omondi emerged as the sole scorer in the 61st minute, enabling Nairobi City Stars to triumph over Kakamega Homeboyz at Bukhungu. This triumph propelled City Stars to fifth place in the standings with 27 points, a performance that left head coach Nicholas Muyoti highly impressed.

Expressing gratitude for the win, Muyoti commended his players for their impressive display against a formidable opponent like Homeboyz. He praised the character and strength exhibited by his team, congratulating them for a job well done.

Conversely, Homeboyz goalkeeper coach John Waw lamented the mistakes that proved costly for his team. Homeboyz dropped to fourth place on the log with 27 points, trailing behind third-placed KCB.

Waw expressed disappointment, stating that his team did not deserve to lose and highlighting the need for improvement, especially in the attacking department, ahead of the league’s resumption.

With the conclusion of matchday 16, the league is set to take a two-week break to observe Christmas and New Year celebrations.
