Harambee Starlets Head Coach, Beldine Odemba, is determined to secure a victory against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon in the first leg of the 2024 Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifiers on September 22 in Douala, Cameroon.

Odemba emphasized an attacking approach and expressed confidence in her team’s progress, with a focus on scoring goals. She highlighted the importance of seasoned forwards like Mwanahalima Dogo, Jentrix Shikangwa, and Esse Akida in sharpening the team’s attack.

Preparations have been going well, with international players expected to join the camp. The team recently won a friendly against Kenya Police Bullets FC.

Harambee Starlets are set to depart for Cameroon, with the gaffer overseeing her first international assignment after taking over from Godfrey ‘Solo’ Oduor in August.

If Starlets win the two-legged qualifier, they will advance to face either Gabon or Botswana in the second round, with the ultimate goal of securing automatic qualification for the 2024 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations in Morocco.
