Harambee Starlets, the national women’s team, is gearing up for an intense battle against Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses in a two-legged qualification round for the 2024 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (WAFCON), scheduled for this September.

The opening encounter will unfold in Cameroon on September 22, with the return leg taking place on home soil on September 26.

The victor of this head-to-head confrontation will proceed to face either Gabon or Botswana in the subsequent round. Emerging triumphant in the second round will secure automatic qualification for the 2024 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations, slated to be hosted in Morocco.

Should Harambee Starlets secure their advancement to the second round, the matches are scheduled to unfold between November 27 and December 5.

These qualifiers will signify a significant moment as Harambee Starlets make their return to CAF Competitions, marking the end of Kenya’s extended suspension from football by FIFA.

Preparations are in full swing, and Harambee Starlets are anticipated to gather in camp on September 10 to gear up for the upcoming challenge.
