England captain Harry Kane made a striking impact on his home Bundesliga debut for Bayern Munich, contributing two goals to help the champions maintain their winning streak in the league.

Kane achieved a notable milestone by becoming the first English player to score in his initial two Bundesliga matches. He netted his first goal from the penalty spot just before half-time, cleverly placing the ball down the middle.

The former Tottenham forward sealed a 3-1 victory for his team in the second half with a skilful finish using the outside of his foot. Throughout the match, Thomas Tuchel’s side displayed dominance in ball possession.

Reflecting on the game, Kane expressed his satisfaction in a social media video, stating, “To score two goals in front of your fans was a special feeling. Lots of improvement still to come but to start the season with two wins is a really great start, so thanks for the support as always.”

Bayern overcame a hesitant start to their game, with Leroy Sane’s shot deflecting off defender Felix Uduokhai to open the scoring. Referee Sascha Stegemann later awarded a penalty to Bayern after consulting the Video Assistant Referee, which Kane calmly converted.

In the second half, Bayern displayed increased vigour, as Sane’s curling shot struck the post and Alphonso Davies provided an excellent assist for Kane’s well-placed finish.

Although substitute Dion Beljo managed to score a late consolation goal for the opposing team, Kane’s impactful performance remained a highlight.

His missed opportunity to complete a hat-trick did not overshadow his impressive record of scoring in seven consecutive league appearances, spanning back to his time in the Premier League with Tottenham.
