Harun Ndegwa Secures Victory at Diamond Trust Bank Golf Tournament

Harun Ndegwa emerged as the champion of the second leg of the Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) ‘Bank with Us’ golf tournament held at the picturesque Kitale Golf Club in Trans Nzoia County.

The local player, competing in the first division with a handicap of 17, showcased exceptional skills on the well-maintained course, amassing an impressive total of 40 points to claim the title.

Ndegwa’s outstanding performance outshined his closest rival, Richard Kiptum, who secured a commendable 35 points, earning Ndegwa a well-deserved victory in the net standings.

Throughout the tournament, Ndegwa demonstrated remarkable consistency, scoring 22 points on the front nine and 18 points on the back nine, cementing his position as the overall winner.

Expressing his delight, Ndegwa stated, “I am thrilled to be crowned the winner of the second leg of this year’s DTB ‘bank with us’ golf edition. In the second division, Josephine Njeri showcased her prowess by clinching victory with an impressive score of 43 points, boasting a four-point lead over the runner-up, Ruth Kae, who accumulated 39 points.

Philip Shiharsy emerged triumphant in the men’s category for the Longest Drive, showcasing impressive power and accuracy in his shots. Joyce Weche secured the top position in the ladies’ cadre, displaying exceptional skill and precision.

Pradip Shah claimed the Nearest to Pin position, demonstrating great accuracy in approaching the pin.
