Reports indicate that Chelsea and Inter are nearing an agreement for the transfer of striker Romelu Lukaku.

Despite receiving an offer from Saudi Arabia, Lukaku has expressed his desire to remain at Inter next season, strengthening his bond with the Serie A club.

Chelsea is open to letting go of Lukaku but has rejected Inter’s attempts for another loan deal. The Blues are pushing for a permanent transfer and expect Inter to commit to purchasing the striker.

However, Inter’s financial situation poses a challenge as they currently lack the necessary funds for a permanent transfer. As a result, they are exploring the possibility of a loan agreement with an obligation to sign Lukaku next summer.

A compromise is anticipated to be reached in the near future, as all parties involved are keen on Lukaku continuing his tenure at Inter. The most likely outcome is a loan deal with an obligation to buy.

To generate funds, Inter may consider potential player sales, such as Marcelo Brozovic to Al Nassr, and engage in negotiations with Manchester United for goalkeeper Andre Onana.

While Chelsea has already bolstered their attack with the signings of Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson, they have not ruled out adding another prominent striker.

Victor Osimhen of Napoli is among their top targets. Additionally, the club is in search of a new goalkeeper and expects to bring in at least one midfielder, with Brighton’s Moises Caicedo being a priority.
