Inter Milan has completed the signing of French winger Marcus Thuram on a free transfer, following the expiration of his contract with Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga.
The 25-year-old Thuram, son of former Barcelona and Juventus defender Lillian Thuram, who famously won the 1998 World Cup with France, brings his talents to Inter Milan. Thuram had a successful stint with Monchengladbach, featuring in 134 matches and scoring 44 goals over four seasons with the German club.
Thuram made the move to the Bundesliga in 2019, joining Monchengladbach from Ligue 1 side Guingamp.
In April, it was confirmed by Monchengladbach that the winger would not be extending his contract, leading to speculation about his future and attracting interest from several top European clubs in recent months.
Having earned 10 international caps for France, Thuram made his senior debut for Les Bleus in a match against Finland in November 2020.
He also had the opportunity to represent his country in the final of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where France, unfortunately, suffered a penalty shootout defeat to Argentina.
