Kabras Sugar RFC Leads Pool A in Christie Sevens Showdown
The National Sevens Circuit (NSC) leaders, Kabras Sugar RFC, are set to face off against tough opponents as they headline Pool A in the upcoming Christie Sevens tournament at Nairobi’s RFUEA Grounds.
Kabras Sugar RFC, who currently sit at the top of the NSC standings with 63 points, will be aiming to further solidify their dominant position in the circuit.
Fresh off their victory at the Prinsloo Sevens in Nakuru, where they triumphed over Kenya Harlequins with a score of 10-5 in the final, the 2017 champions are poised for another strong performance.
In Pool B, runners-up Kenya Harlequins will take on Kenyatta University Blak Blad, former NSC champions Homeboyz RFC, and Daystar University Falcons.
Having the home-ground advantage, Paul Murunga’s charges are ready to seize every opportunity. Currently occupying the fourth spot on the log with 46 points, Kabras Sugar RFC will undoubtedly leverage their familiarity with the RFUEA Grounds to their advantage.
Defending champions Strathmore Leos, who have been performing consistently, will face stiff competition in Pool C. They will be contending with Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB), Catholic University Monks, and Kisumu RFC.
Pool D features Menengai Oilers, record champions Mwamba RFC, Nondescripts, and Sigalagala, promising a fierce contest for the coveted title.
