In a display of remarkable skill and determination, Kanana Muthomi emerged victorious in the girls’ 11-12 years old category at the second tournament of the US Kids NCBA Nairobi Fall Local Tour, held at the scenic Limuru Country Club.
With a stellar performance, Kanana showcased her talent by carding an impressive level par 72. Her exceptional round featured two birdies in the front nine, accompanied by four level pars and only three bogies. The second nine proved even more impressive as she added two birdies, one eagle, and two level pars to her scorecard.
Despite encountering three bogies, Kanana maintained her composure to finish with a level par 72, securing the top position in the category.
Following closely behind, Simaloi Mbeya secured the second position with a score of 85, while Ashley Muyela claimed the third spot with a score of 86. Reflecting on her performance, Simaloi expressed satisfaction with her recovery after a challenging start.
In a highly competitive field boasting 20 players, participants like Lael Mwangale valued the experience gained from the tournament. Facing challenges with putting, Lael embraced the opportunity to grow and improve as a golfer.
In the boys’ 11-year category, Adam Nesbitt and Palash Tank engaged in a thrilling playoff after both scoring 80. In the end, Nesbitt emerged victorious in the playoff, showcasing his resilience and skill on the course.
Meanwhile, Sophia Nesbitt dominated the girls’ 13-14 years category, clinching victory with a comfortable score of 78. Amelia Sheikh and Yolanda Yu followed closely behind, securing the second and third positions, respectively. Transitioning to a new category posed a tougher challenge for April Ochola, yet she expressed satisfaction with her improved performance.
In the boys’ 13-14 category, Yuvraj Rajput emerged victorious with a score of 78, demonstrating his prowess on the course. Tristan Ndegwa and Aidan Gachora, among others, showcased their talent with impressive performances in a closely contested category.
Garcia Maina claimed the top spot in the boys’ 15-18 category, highlighting the diversity of talent and skill on display at the tournament. With their remarkable performances, participants left a lasting impression and added excitement to the US Kids NCBA Nairobi Fall Local Tour.
