The KCB Volleyball team, reigning national champions, have successfully advanced to the semi-finals of the Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) National League.

They achieved a commendable 3-1 win against Kenya Army at the Nyayo Indoor Arena. The Lionesses demonstrated their prowess by winning the first two sets 25-17 and 25-16.

Although they faced a challenge in the third set with a 25-20 loss, they bounced back to claim the fourth set 25-22. This victory follows their clean sweep in the first leg at Kasarani Stadium, where they defeated Kenya Army 3-0.

The team is now gearing up for the semi-final showdown against DCI, scheduled for the upcoming weekend. Assistant coach David Kinga lauded the team’s quarter-final performance and is optimistic about their prospects in the semi-finals.

The team’s offensive lineup, led by Mariam Musa, Deborah Jesang, and Juliana Namutira, along with the solid defense from Edith Wisa and Belindah Barasa, has been instrumental in their success.

The defensive duo of liberos Linsey Jeruto and Josephine Nekesa has also played a pivotal role. Kinga emphasized the team’s unity and support for one another as key factors in their league performance.
