Kenya Pipeline, the former champions of the Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) women’s league, secured a semi-final berth in the ongoing playoffs with a commanding straight-set victory over Post Bank.

The match, held at Nyayo Stadium on Saturday, saw the Oilers dominate with set scores of 25-10, 25-6, and 25-8.

Esther Jepkosgei, the head coach of Kenya Pipeline, expressed her delight at her team’s performance and her optimism about reclaiming the championship title. In contrast, Post Bank’s coach, Vanon Kahinga, acknowledged the strength of their opponents and pledged to return stronger in the next season.

The semi-finals will feature a clash between Kenya Pipeline and Kenya Prisons, promising an exciting encounter.

In another quarter-final match, the defending champions, Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB), overcame Kenya Army with a 3-1 victory.

Despite a setback in the third set, KCB managed to secure their semi-final spot and will face DCI in what is expected to be a thrilling match. KCB’s head coach, Japheth Munala, remains confident in his team’s ability to progress to the final and defend their title.

Kenya Prisons and DCI also advanced to the semi-finals with respective victories over KDF and Nairobi Prisons, setting the stage for an intense conclusion to the playoffs.
