The national under-18 football team, Junior Stars, is ramping up their preparations for the upcoming CECAFA U-18 Boys Championship scheduled to take place from November 25th to December 9th, 2023, in Kisumu and Kakamega.
The tournament features two groups, with Kenya placed in Group A alongside Somalia, Rwanda, Sudan, and Djibouti. Group B comprises Tanzania, Zanzibar, South Sudan, and Uganda. Matches for Group A will be held in Kisumu, while Group B matches are slated for Kakamega.
The group stage matches will determine the semi-finalists, with the winners and runners-up from each group advancing. The semi-finals are scheduled for December 5th in Kisumu.
Kenya’s opening match in Group A is against Sudan and will take place at 3 pm in Kisumu.
