Kenya’s stronghold continued in the men’s half marathon, with a clean sweep of the medals. Kennedy Kipyeko emerged as the champion, finishing first with a remarkable time of 1 hour, 3 minutes, and 52 seconds. John Muiruri Mburu (1:03:55) and Evans Kipkorir (1:04:12) closely followed, securing the second and third positions.

In the women’s full marathon, Muluhabt Tsega from Ethiopia claimed the gold medal, completing the race in a commendable time of 2 hours, 35 minutes, and 17 seconds. Kenya’s Sharon Jemutai Cheron and Ethiopia’s Amid Foyza Jemal took second and third places, respectively.

Once again, Kenya asserted its dominance in the women’s half marathon. Winfridah Moraa Moseti led the pack, securing victory with an impressive time of 1 hour, 12 minutes, and 40 seconds.
