Kibera Soccer Ladies Bag Sh150,000 with Victory over Kisumu in Women’s Cup Playoff

Kibera Soccer Ladies emerged victorious in the third-place playoff against Kisumu All-Starlets in the Football Kenya Federation FKF Women’s Cup in a thrilling encounter.

The match saw an impressive comeback by the Slam girls in the second half, resulting in a 4-2 win in regular time.

Kisumu started strongly, with Beverlyne Adika netting a brace to give her team a 2-1 lead at halftime. However, Kibera didn’t falter and quickly turned the tide of the game.

In the 52nd minute, they equalized with a stunning 25-yard free-kick, skillfully eluding Kisumu goalkeeper Grace Tambo.

Only two minutes later, Kibera surged ahead with another goal, and at the hour mark, they solidified their victory with a fourth goal. The Ramadhan Vijag-coached Kibera team showcased their resilience and determination throughout the match.

As a result of their impressive performance, Kibera Soccer Ladies will receive a well-deserved prize of Sh150,000, while Kisumu All-Starlets will take home Sh100,000 for their commendable efforts.
