English golfer Kipp Popert secured his ninth Golf for the Disabled (G4D) Tour victory at the Muthaiga Golf Club, carding an impressive score of 69 on Tuesday.
Popert continued his strong performance from the previous round, where he had finished atop the leaderboard with a remarkable five-under-par 66.
In Round Two, Popert displayed his dominance once again by recording 13 birdies, maintaining a commanding lead at seven under par. Australian golfer Lachlan Wood secured the second position with a score of 72, trailing behind Popert by five shots.
Despite closing the day with a bogey on the 18th hole, Wood’s performance was commendable, placing him ahead of third-placed Irishman Brendan Lawlor.
American golfer Chris Biggins finished fourth with a three-over-par 74, while Spaniard Juan Postigo Arce secured the fifth position.
This tournament marked the first time it was held in Africa, serving as a prelude to the 55th edition of the Magical Kenya Open, scheduled to begin at the same venue on Thursday and conclude on Sunday.
The competition attracted ten golfers from various parts of the world, including two female players.
