Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) President Charles Nyaberi has unveiled the provisional 20-member squads for the upcoming 2023 East Africa Community Games. The squads have been strategically composed, blending seasoned experience with promising youth.
In the women’s category, Joy Luseneka, returning after a hiatus, is among the three setters contending for the two available slots. She faces competition from the KCB pair of Emmaculate Nekesa and Esther Mutinda.
Malkia Strikers’ captain, Mercy Moim, spearheads the category for outside hitters. Her expertise is complemented by Juliana Namutira, Pamela Adhiambo, Leonida Kasaya, Jemima Siang’u, Sarah Namisi, and Pamela Masaisai.
The lineup for middle blockers includes KCB captain Edith Wisa, Belinda Barasa, Trizah Atuka, and Lorine Chebet.
The team’s liberos comprise Agrippina Kundu, Elizabeth Wanyama, and Linzy Jeruto.
The men’s squad is equally robust and poised to make a resounding impact at the tournament.
