Competitors at this year’s Magical Kenya Ladies Open, hosted at the Par-73 PGA Baobab Course in Vipingo Ridge, Kilifi, will vie for a hefty prize kitty totaling Ksh 52.5 million (€300,000).
The champion of the event will walk away with a substantial Ksh 7.9 million (€45,000) prize, along with 500 order of merit points on the Ladies European Tour (LET).
In addition to the top prize, the second-place finisher, provided there are no ties, will pocket Ksh 4.7 million (€27,000) and earn 320 order of merit points. Meanwhile, the third-place finisher stands to bank Ksh 3.1 million (€18,000) and accumulate 230 points, setting the tone for their 2024 LET campaign.
Even a top-five finish, without any ties, ensures a significant cash reward, with the fourth-place golfer securing Ksh 2.4 million (€13,500) and 180 order of merit points. Similarly, the fifth-place finisher will receive Ksh 1.8 million in prize money and garner 145 points.
A respectable tenth-place finish carries a reward of Ksh 1.2 million (€6,900) and 75 order of merit points. Even the golfer in the last spot, 67th place, will not leave empty-handed, taking home Ksh 120,000 (€690) from the event.
