The Golden State Warriors secured back-to-back NBA road victories for the first time since November as they dominated a struggling Philadelphia 76ers team missing star player Joel Embiid.
In a convincing 127-104 win, the 76ers suffered their seventh loss in eight games as Embiid, the reigning NBA MVP from Cameroon, remained sidelined for his fourth consecutive game due to knee surgery, with his return not expected for at least another four weeks.
Andrew Wiggins led the scoring for the Warriors with 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Klay Thompson and Jonathan Kuminga contributed 18 points each, powering Golden State to their fourth win in five games. This victory followed their 109-98 triumph over the Brooklyn Nets earlier in the week.
Despite two-time MVP Stephen Curry only managing nine points in 25 minutes on the court, Wiggins praised the collective effort of his teammates, highlighting their aggressive mindset and adherence to the game plan.
“It’s coming together. Tonight was a mindset of being aggressive,” Wiggins remarked. “It’s a team effort. We’re all a factor offensively and defensively, getting into it [and] stuck to the game plan.”
In other NBA action, the Boston Celtics secured a 125-117 victory over the Atlanta Hawks, the Toronto Raptors defeated the Charlotte Hornets 123-117, and the Cleveland Cavaliers emerged victorious with a 114-106 win against the Washington Wizards.
The Miami Heat claimed a 116-104 win over the San Antonio Spurs, the New Orleans Pelicans overcame the LA Clippers 117-106, and the Detroit Pistons cruised to a 133-120 success against the Sacramento Kings.
