NBA’s 2023-24 Season Opener to Showcase “Everyone’s Game” Campaign with Exciting Matchups
The National Basketball Association (NBA) is set to kick off its 2023-24 season with a compelling brand campaign titled “Everyone’s Game.”
This initiative aims to emphasize the unifying power of basketball and will be featured in 215 countries and territories, generating worldwide interest in the upcoming season.
Tammy Henault, the NBA’s chief marketing officer, shared, “We wanted the campaign to reflect the moment the league is in right now as we tip off the 2023-24 season with a wide-open field and competition at an all-time high.”
She elaborated that the campaign captures the dedication and passion of NBA players, generating excitement for an unpredictable season while also symbolizing inclusion and the ability of basketball to bring people together.
The season opener will feature two highly anticipated matchups. The defending champion Denver Nuggets will face the Los Angeles Lakers, followed by a clash between the Phoenix Suns and the Golden State Warriors.
This marks a thrilling beginning to the season, with the Lakers seeking revenge for their previous loss to the Nuggets in the Western Conference finals.
The comments of head coach Michael Malone, who asserted that the Lakers had “gone fishing” following their loss to the Nuggets, had stirred up anticipation and motivation among Lakers players, including LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The rivalry is expected to intensify on the court.
While the Nuggets have retained their core lineup, several offseason changes have been made to bolster their depth. The Lakers have also retooled their roster with additions like Gabe Vincent, Cam Reddish, and Taurean Prince.
The second matchup will see Kevin Durant, now with the Phoenix Suns, return to the Chase Center in San Francisco to face his former team, the Golden State Warriors, where he achieved championship success in 2017 and 2018.
This game is an opportunity for Durant to perform in front of fans who celebrated his accomplishments during his time with the Warriors. The Suns will field an impressive lineup, including Devin Booker and newcomer Bradley Beal.
The campaign video vignettes showcase prominent players such as Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum, and Jamal Murray, among others, and are accompanied by The Heavy’s song “How You Like Me Now?” With multiple versions of the campaign, these spots will be widely available across the NBA’s social platforms and app.
The “Everyone’s Game” campaign celebrates not only basketball fans but also the spirit of competition as the new season unfolds, reminding everyone that “anything can happen.”
