The NCBA Golf Series is gearing up for its first regional doubleheader as VetLab Sports Club in Kenya and Tanzania’s Gymkhana Golf Club prepare to host the next tournaments this Saturday, August 24.
Since its launch in March, the series has toured Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda, drawing over 2,000 golfers.
This weekend, over 200 players will compete at the par-72 VetLab course, while Gymkhana anticipates more than 100 participants, all eager to demonstrate their golfing prowess. The tournaments will tee off at 6:30 AM, offering players a chance to qualify for the grand finale at Muthaiga Golf Club in November.
In each qualifying event, the top male and female golfers from Divisions One, Two, and Three, along with the overall Junior winner, will secure a spot in the final round. To date, more than 100 golfers have qualified for the grand finale based on their performance in previous events.
The NCBA Golf Series, recognized for nurturing talent and promoting golf throughout Kenya, continues to attract a diverse range of players. The upcoming VetLab tournament is expected to maintain this momentum, with high stakes and the promise of exciting golf action.
NCBA Group Managing Director John Gachora expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming events:

Participants will not only tackle a challenging course but also have the chance to network and engage with fellow golf enthusiasts. We eagerly anticipate witnessing exceptional talent on the course and strengthening our ties with the golfing community in these regions.”
Gachora also highlighted the bank’s commitment to environmental sustainability:
“As part of our corporate social responsibility, we are committed to planting indigenous trees wherever we go, and we will plant 100 trees at both events. This initiative aligns with our broader sustainability goals and contributes to preserving our natural environment, including the courses where we play.”
The VetLab tournament follows successful events at Limuru and Mombasa earlier this month.
