Environmental authorities in Brazil have issued a second fine to football star Neymar after he disregarded orders to cease an unlicensed construction project at his mansion near Rio de Janeiro.

The Brazilian and Paris Saint-Germain player had already been facing a fine of at least 5 million reais ($1 million) for alleged environmental infractions discovered at his luxury property in Mangaratiba.

Despite the site being cordoned off and activity being ordered to stop, reports suggest that Neymar held a party and went swimming in the artificial lake.

Environmental inspectors returned to the site and observed ongoing activity that violated the restraining order and committed further environmental infractions.

As a result, Neymar will face an additional fine, the amount of which will be determined after a thorough investigation. The investigation is expected to conclude next week. Neymar’s representatives in Brazil have not provided any comments regarding the matter.

The football star, who is currently recovering from ankle surgery, purchased the mansion in 2016, which boasts various amenities including a helipad, spa, and gym.
