Novak Djokovic Reclaims No.1 Spot from Carlos Alcaraz in Latest ATP Rankings

Posted on

Novak Djokovic has reclaimed the number one spot in the ATP rankings, despite missing several tournaments in the US last month due to his decision not to get vaccinated against Covid-19.

Carlos Alcaraz briefly took the top ranking after winning the Indian Wells tournament, but he lost in the semi-finals of the Miami Open on Friday, allowing Djokovic to regain his position at the top for a record-breaking 380th week.

Djokovic currently has a comfortable 380-point lead over Alcaraz, while Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas is in third place, trailing the top two by over 1,000 points.

Other notable changes in the rankings include Karen Khachanov moving up five places to 11th, and Rafael Nadal dropping one spot to 14th.
