The Denver Nuggets narrowly secured a 20-point, fourth-quarter lead in Atlanta on Monday, highlighting areas for improvement.

Despite almost squandering their advantage, they managed to secure a 129-122 win over the Hawks. The victory, fueled by Jamal Murray’s 29 points and Nikola Jokic’s impressive performance, snapped a three-game losing streak for the Nuggets.

Murray faced an ankle scare but returned to play 29 minutes, emphasizing his commitment amid ongoing ankle soreness. The Nuggets now turn their attention to a Tuesday road game against the Chicago Bulls, aiming to address turnovers and maintain momentum.

Chicago, coming off an overtime loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, seeks to rebound after their four-game winning streak was snapped. DeMar DeRozan’s outstanding 41-point performance and Coby White’s sharpshooting were notable highlights for the Bulls.

Denver, historically successful against Chicago, looks to replicate their earlier-season victory led by Jokic. The matchup promises an intriguing battle between two competitive teams.
