Paul Bitok National Volleyball Tournament to be Held at Indoor Arenas in Nairobi
The inaugural Paul Bitok National Volleyball Tournament has been relocated to the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani indoor arena and Nyayo National Stadium gymnasium in Nairobi.
Originally planned for April 7-9 at the Kiminini Primary School grounds in Bungoma County, the change was necessitated by the heavy rains affecting the western region of the country, as well as a request from national league clubs.
At the launch of the tournament’s first edition on Tuesday at the KCB Sports Club in Nairobi, Paul Bitok, the tournament’s namesake, explained that clubs participating in the African Clubs Championship in Tunisia in May asked for the event to be moved indoors.
This move is aimed at allowing players to acclimate to the indoor facility and maintain their performance momentum.
