Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino expressed his frustration and disappointment following his team’s 4-1 defeat against Newcastle United.

Despite being level at halftime, Chelsea collapsed in the second half, conceding three goals and having captain Reece James sent off.

Pochettino, visibly upset, criticized his team for being ‘soft in every challenge’ at St James’ Park. He expected Chelsea to show determination and resilience, especially with important games on the horizon.

The defeat puts Chelsea in a challenging position, currently in 10th place in the Premier League and facing a tough battle to qualify for the Champions League.

Pochettino emphasized that it was Chelsea’s worst game of the season and expressed his frustration about the team not seizing the opportunity to showcase their best.

Acknowledging that they are a young team, Pochettino stressed the importance of learning from such situations and understanding the level of competition required in the Premier League.

Pochettino remains committed to addressing the team’s weaknesses and changing the dynamic for upcoming matches.
